RESIDENTS, councillors, and key members of the Holmes Chapel community poured into the Victoria Club last night to lend their support to the ‘Save Saltersford Corner’ campaign.

Teenagers Bill Armstrong Abbie Little and Dani Russo set up the public meeting to discuss how best to proceed with the reinvigorated campaign.

The move follows the news that housing developer Russell Homes had resubmitted amended plans to build 100 properties at Saltersford Corner –something the campaign group is vehemently opposed to.

Speakers on the night included Cheshire East Council leader Michael Jones, Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School head Jeff Sharp, Holmes Chapel Health Centre practise manager Dean Grice, and borough and parish councillors.

A more comprehensive report of the meeting will follow.
