A COMMUNITY led clean-up of St John’s Woodland removed tonnes of fly-tipped rubbish.
A hearty meal at the Welcome Café, funded by Tatton Estates, warmed the cockles, before teams carried on with the hard graft to clear the green space.
Cheshire East Council Streetscape, Community Spirit, Knutsford GROW, David Lewis Centre, Oil Recruitment, Manchester Airport, Great Places Housing Group, Peaks and Plains Housing Trust, Knutsford Town Council, BEACON and the Environment Agency all came together to remove rubbish from the woodland on February 27.
