THE Guardian has teamed up with the Co-operative to give a football team in our area the chance to win a new playing kit.

The Co-operative recognises the importance of sport and the role it can play in helping children live active and healthy lifestyles at the heart of their communities.

Its grassroots programme consists of a number of projects including Win a Kit, all focused on encouraging more children to get involved in sport and enjoy healthy lifestyles.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Guardian readers to nominate a junior football team in their community for the chance to receive a new set of Co-operative football kit.

It might be a school team, your son or daughter’s football team or a youth club team.

It’s a great way to play an active role in your own community.

To enter say in no more than 150 words why your nominated team should win the kit, and email the following information to james.wilson@guardiangrp.co.uk and put Co-op Kit in the subject bar.

Please include your name, your contact telephone number, the name of the team you are nominating and where the team plays including postcode.

Each set of kit to be won consists of 15 navy blue outfield and a goalkeeper kit.

The kits are available in chest size 32 inches or 34 inches, which will fit primary school age teams and children in year seven.

The closing date for entries is March 28. Usual Newsquest rules apply and the winning team must be from the Knutsford area.
