Peter will take charge at ball

A KNUTSFORD trader is adding a POP of colour to the Mayor’s civic ball this year.

Peter Murray, of Pulse of Perfumery, (POP), will be taking on the role of master of ceremonies and auctioneer at the Belle Epoque on March 29 – but his commitment doesn’t end there.

In addition to supplying fragrance table favours for all the guests and a selection of prizes for the raffle, Peter has also donated one of his popular ‘Private Fragrance Parties’ as an auction prize and has sponsored one of the tables on the night.

The Princess Street trader’s generosity has helped to offset the costs of organising the ball – meaning more money for the Mayor’s charities, Knutsford Lions and Cheshire Search and Rescue.

Peter said: “I am delighted as an independent retailer within Knutsford to be involved in raising money for such good causes, along with bringing the community together. I am sure it will be a fantastic evening – I may even throw in a song.”

Town Mayor Barbara Coan was impressed by Peter’s generosity and enthusiasm.

“It is fantastic, and will really help boost the funds raised on the night for my chosen charities,” she added.

“I would also like to thank all the other Knutsford businesses who have come forward to donate prizes and sponsor tables. It is great to see that when it comes to raising funds for Knutsford charities we are all pulling together.”

Now that Knutsford has been recently told by its leaders to compete with a seaside theme, perhaps a perfume named "Sea Breeze" would be a popular line to announce from this outlet..
