MARIE Curie fundraisers are thanking generous Knutsfordians for helping make their latest charity collection their most successful to date.
On March 7 and 8, members of The Knutsford Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraising Group set up shop at Booths supermarket to collect for the Great Daffodil Appeal.
The total amount raised through the collection came to £1470 – a record for the fundraising group.
A spokesperson for the group said: “The Knutsford Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraising Group wishes to thank Booths customers for their generosity and support at our collection there at the weekend.
“We raised a record amount of money, which will be used to provide for nursing care and support to local patients and families.
“Thank you for Booths for hosting the event for us once again and for the help of their staff.”
