KNUTSFORD-based marketing agency Boxed Red has been named ‘Customer Service Team of the Year’ at a top awards ceremony.

The team, based in offices on Silk Mill Street, has been named ‘Customer Service Team of the Year’ at the 2014 British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA), hosted by the Institute of Sales and Marketing (ISMM).

The BESMA judges praised Boxed Red’s enthusiasm and commitment to putting the customer at the heart of everything they do. The fact that the company’s growth is built on referrals and the team constantly strives to improve by taking customer feedback into account was part of the reason why Boxed Red’s entry was commended.

Host of BBC Breakfast, Bill Turnbull, presented Boxed Red with the prestigious award, congratulating the team on being selected by the ISMM, the worldwide representative body for sales and marketing personnel.

The Boxed Red team scooped the prize over global names such as Lyreco and AXA Insurance, as well as huge UK firms including British Gas and E.ON.

Janna Caley, director of Boxed Red Marketing, said: “The moment we heard our name being read out is one I will never forget. We are so passionate about keeping our customers and clients at the very heart of Boxed Red, and we are so happy this has been recognised at this level.

“The ISMM is such a prestigious, worldwide organisation with members from around the globe, so for Boxed Red to be named alongside the likes of British Gas and AXA Insurance is a fantastic achievement in itself, but to win just proves how integral our commitment to customer service is.”

Boxed Red Marketing was shortlisted from a written entry, and was chosen as the overall winner after a presentation day attended by the owners of the company, Janna Caley and Craig Fell.

The BESMAs represent the UK’s highest level of recognition for outstanding achievement in sales and marketing and identifies organisations in which ‘best practice’ is clearly demonstrated.

Prime Minister David Cameron celebrated the awards and all the businesses involved by adding: “You are at the frontline of our economic recovery, demonstrating that Britain is very much open for business.”

“The professionalism, creativity and flair that you have all shown is to be commended. I truly believe that your achievements will help ensure that the next decade can be one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial decades in our history.”
