RESIDENTS of Knutsford are now able to save money on their train travel, following the arrival of the first Railcard to launch in Britain in 30 years.

The new 'Two Together Railcard' gives couples and pairs of friends or relatives a third off when they travel together.

Launched today, Monday, March 3, the card costs £30 a year and is expected to save passengers around £100 a year.

With no limit on the number of times it can be used, the discounted tickets to ride are available on Standard and First Class, Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance fares for travel after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day on weekends and bank holidays.

The 'Two Together Railcard' is available online at twotogether-railcard.co.uk or at any staffed National Rail station, including Knutsford.
