MILLINGTON-based children’s charity The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is holding its second annual Vintage Afternoon Tea event at the Mere Court Hotel on March 18.

The charity is hoping to be joined by 150 ladies for tea with a twist, and tickets are going fast – last year’s event raised an impressive £5,000 and the charity is hoping to better that in 2014.

The event will begin as all should – with a glass of fizz and some shopping, with the drinks reception sponsored by Bright & Beautiful who will be supporting the event for a second year.

Guests, including several of the charity’s patrons, will then be called through to the conservatory, which will be decorated in a pretty Vintage theme, including crockery donated by Alice’s Vintage Pantry in Timperley and room dressing from Perfect Weddings.

CAFT’s Julie Gray will host the event, with entertainment from vocalist Andy Ellison and a talk on perfumery from Peter Murray from Princess Street-based Pulse of Perfumery.

Tickets are £28 and will include a bubbly reception, shopping and pampering opportunities, champagne Afternoon Tea, live music and entertainment.
