THE Mayor’s Civic Ball will return to the heart of Knutsford next month and to celebrate the Town Mayor is offering complimentary tickets to two lucky Knutsfordians.

The Ball, which is the highlight of the Civic year, will this year take place at the Belle Epoque on March 29.

It is also the final fundraising event organised by the Mayor and to mark this special occasion the town’s current mayor Clr Barbara Coan is offering two Knutsfordians the opportunity to be her guests for the evening.

Clr Coan said: “In continuing to honour my Mayoral pledge to involve the community and as another first, I am pleased to offer two complimentary tickets to the Knutsford community; this is a unique opportunity to enable two people to attend the prestigious Mayor’s Civic Ball at the Belle Epoque.

“You will enjoy a delightful meal together with an evening of entertainment as my guest.”

Magician Daniel Haddaway and Sinatra singer Steve Bernstein will provide the entertainment for the night.

The black-tie event will also include a variety of fundraising activities including an auction and raffle in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities – The Knutsford Lions and Cheshire Search and Rescue.

Clr Coan added: “I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage the town and its businesses to support the Civic Ball and help us raise funds for The Knutsford Lions and Cheshire Search and Rescue – both these charities are based locally in Knutsford and are extremely worthwhile.”

To be in with a chance of winning tickets to the Ball as a guest of the Mayor simply complete the online form by March 7. Forms can be found at knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk. To be eligible to apply entrants must be 18 or over at the time of the event and either reside or work in Knutsford. Tickets are non-refundable.

Businesses wishing to make a donation to the Mayor’s charities can do so by contacting the Acting Town Clerk Adam Keppel-Garner on 01565 653 929.
