THE curtain will finally be lifted on the 2014 Knutsford Gang Show next week.

Tickets have been selling fast for the series of shows, which begin Monday

February 17 and conclude Saturday February at Mobberley Victory Hall, but tickets for some nights are still up for grabs.

Martin Relton, District Commissioner for Knutsford District Scouts, said: “On Valentine’s Day evening a team of around 30 volunteers move into the Victory Hall and over the next 24 hours transform it into a 130 seat theatre with additional staging, curtains, lighting rigs, scaffolding and sound equipment in preparation for the full dress rehearsal on Sunday 16th Feb.

“By the time they have finished it is barely recognisable from the original hall. Behind the stage all the scenery and props are moved into place as well as a 2000sq ft marquee to house the 7 changing rooms plus make up and wigs and additional washroom facilities.

“Then on Monday 17th Feb the curtain opens for the first time on Knutsford Gang Show 2014.”

The Saturday matinee has already sold out but tickets are still available for other performances.

Tickets are available the 7.30pm shows from Mr Simms Sweet Shop on King Street or alternatively call 01477 535 202.
