A HOLLYOAKS actor is urging Knutsfordians to dig out their trainers and sign up for Age UK’s Wrap Up and Run at Tatton Park.

Tom Scurr will be joining fellow runners at the start line on Sunday March 2.

The 10k run is suitable for both beginners training for a fitness challenge and professional runners looking for a Spring marathon training session.

For those who feel that 10k is a bit of a stretch, Age UK’s 2k walk is also taking place on the Sunday.

Tom, who is due to appear in the new ITV comedy Edge of Heaven, said:

“Age UK does fantastic work in Cheshire and all over the country so I’m urging people in the area to get their trainers on and sign up for the race.

“I’m a keen runner but the great thing about the 10k is that everyone can do it – whether you are blowing away the cobwebs after Christmas or training for a marathon.

“Most importantly the money raised will make a huge difference to people in later life, so do get involved.”
The 10k event costs £18 to enter and chip timing will be made available.

The 2k event costs £6 to enter of £10 for two people.  To sign up call 0800 169 8787 or visit ageuk.org.uk/10k
