TICKETS for the Knutsford Beer Festival are now on sale and being snapped up by eager punters wanting to sample the variety of beers on offer at the two-day event taking place in April.

The first ever Knutsford beer festival will take place on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 in the Old Town Hall.

“Tickets were only released to the public online on February 1 and we've had a massive response already with a quarter of available tickets going during the first weekend of sales,” said Chris Stott.

“We'd like to thank everyone who has bought tickets so far, and remind people who are looking forward to the event to snap up their tickets now. We fully expect the festival to be a sell out over the coming weeks and there will be no tickets available on the door.”

The Knutsford Beer Festival will showcase the wide variety of beers produced in Cheshire, including those from the town's own Tatton Brewery and Mobberley Fine Ales.

The festival is supporting the Knutsford Town Mayor's charities, the Knutsford and District Lions Club and Cheshire Search and Rescue.

Tickets for the Friday night and Saturday night sessions cost £7 per person.

The Saturday afternoon child-friendly session costs £4 per person. For more information and to buy tickets visit knutsfordbeerfestival.org.uk.

Fifty barrels of beer and cider will be available to sample at the festival and local businesses have been generous with their sponsorship.

“We have just 18 barrels which still need sponsoring at £100 a barrel,” said Lisa Benskin.

“The response has been fantastic and we can't stage the event and raise money for the charities without the support of local businesses.

“To secure a cask sponsorship for just £100 please complete the online form at knutsfordbeerfestival.org.uk/sponsorship-application.”
