CHILDREN of Allostock who are ‘batty’ about wildlife have a treat in store for them on February 15.
As part of National Nest Box Week, Allostock Parish Council is funding a workshop for children to work alongside an ecologist in constructing bird and bat boxes.
Once the boxes have been constructed, they will then be erected around the neighbouring village field.
The workshop is open to children from the village who are aged between five and 15. All materials will be provided for but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
The session will take place between 2pm and 4pm and places are limited so early booking is advisable. To book a place call 01477 532555.
