CLARE & Illingworth's Richard Clare has his eyes set on supporting Knutsford Heritage Centre's 'Knutsford's Crowning Glory' exhibition with a £500 sponsorship donation.

Celebrating 150 years of Knutsford Royal May Day, the exhibition will showcase the rich history of the town and its relationship with May Day down the years. Dresses, crowns, memorabilia and memories will be featured in the exhibition which opens at the end of March and runs until the end of June.

“The Heritage Centre has worked hard to keep Knutsford's rich history alive for many years and we really wanted to help support that this year with sponsorship of the very special May Day exhibition,” said Richard.

“As a local business we want to help further promote and support the Heritage Centre and the great work done by their volunteers. They keep the town's fascinating history alive through the research they carry out and the displays they house in the centre.”

The centre's Val Bryant said she was delighted with the sponsorship from Clare & Illingworth.

“It's so lovely to have local businesses supporting our very special exhibition for 2014 and Richard and his colleagues have been very generous with their support,” said Val.

“We must also thank Monckton Properties and Manning's Chemist for their sponsorship contributions, all of which will help us stage a very special exhibition."”

The centre announced its exhibition plans at the recent meeting of retailers and businesses.

“We are delighted with the response so far, even before we had properly sorted our sponsorship packages,” said Val.

“We're looking forward to signing up more local businesses who have already expressed an interest, but we always need more money.”
