AN Olympic champion is backing a Tatton Park cycling event after Macmillan Cancer Support was revealed as its new title partner.

Cycletta, the UK’s leading women only cycle series welcomes Macmillan Cancer Support as title partner of the series which will now be known as Macmillan Cycletta.

Gold medal winner Victoria Pendleton said: “It has been such a pleasure to be involved with Macmillan Cycletta so far.

“I’m proud to have been a part of it since the very beginning and am delighted to see more and more women continue to take up cycling.”

Macmillan Cancer Support cycling programme manager, Liz Hemming, said: “Macmillan Cycletta is a great way for female cyclists nationwide to raise money to help people affected by cancer through taking on a cycling challenge.”
