THREE fire engines have been at the scene of a road traffic collision on the M6 between junctions 19 and 20.
The incident involved a hatchback vehicle and although there was nobody trapped in the vehicle two casualties are being looked after by paramedics.
Firefighters have made the scene safe and the carriageway has been closed by motorway police.
Highways Agency officers are directing traffic off at junction 19, down the A556 and towards Bowden roundabout.
Vehicles are being told to then travel south up the A556 and take the junction 8 slip road onto the M56, before leaving at junction nine and rejoining the northbound M6 carriageway.
As a result traffic at Bucklow Hill is heavier than expected.
