IT may be early in the year but Tatton Park has already got a jam-packed schedule lined-up to keep families busy in 2014.

There are nearly 60 adult and family learning activities taking place this year, ranging from watercolour painting to hat making.

New activities this year involve drama workshops, a young poet’s workshop, upholstery taster workshop and learning how to sew children’s clothes.

The upcoming ‘Just for Kids and Families’ programme includes the opportunity to cook chocolate in the Victorian kitchens, explore ornithology and song and dance.

Learning and Visitor Services Manager Vicky Rowbotham said: “We are really excited about this year’s workshops and activities.  There really is something for every age and interest.

"We’ve added lots of new courses, as well our perennial favourites, along with more dates for those ever-popular courses which sell out year on year.”

There will also be opportunities to join Tatton’s expert rangers on wild life walks and deer experiences, to learn the principles of vegetable growing in Tatton’s Victorian kitchen gardens, and to develop poultry keeping and pig rearing skills at the breed farm.

Vicky added: “Tatton’s courses are always excellent value for money and include the expertise of experienced tutors, along with park entry and access to the 1,000 deer park.  We hope to welcome you in 2014.”

Booking is essential for all activities.  For more information or book contact Tatton’s education department on 01625 374428 or email tattoneducation@cheshireeast.gov.uk
