CONSTRUCTION of the new golfing academy at High Legh Park is now in full swing.

The breaking of the ground was carried out by High Legh Park owner, Andrew Vaughan, and Andrew ‘Chubby’ Chandler from International Sports Management (ISM) on December 19.

The ISM High Legh Park Golf Academy, due for completion in Spring 2013, will include a new driving range and be home to a range of specialist golfing services and coaches.

Andrew Chandler said: “High Legh Park is a very forward thinking and the Academy will be a real magnet for golfers from all over the North West. We are delighted to be part of the Academy and the plans that the club has to help grow the game of golf in the area.”

Specialists based at the new academy include golf fitness professional Kevin Duffy, Tour X who offer customised golf club fitting, European Tour mind coach Lee Crombleholme, junior and ladies coaching development specialist Natalie Adams, and Andrew Murray, BBC commentator and former European tour winner.

The Golf Academy is part of the long term vision for the club that has already seen the re-design of the existing 18-hole golf course and will also include the introduction of a new 9-hole shot course and a small training course for learners and junior players.

To celebrate the beginning of the construction of the ISM Golf Academy the club are offering a limited number of memberships that will offer people 15 months for the price of 12 and no joining fee as well as additional benefits.

Anyone interested in securing these limited memberships should contact the club before April 1 on 01565 830888.
