KNUTSFORD police intervened in Rostherne on December 1 after a group of young people were seen taking drugs in the village cemetery.

PC Jim Day said: “Two vehicles were seen at the church car park and police conducted a search of the area.

“A group of eight young adults were found at the church cemetery and after searching them police detained an 18-year-old male from Altrincham for possession of Cannabis.

“He was taken to Knutsford Police Station and issued with a cannabis warning.

“Rostherne is a safe village to live and we want to keep it that way.”
