TWO reindeers joined residents of Sunrise Senior Living in Mobberley on Monday December 2 to celebrate the beginning of the festive season.

Taking a break from their preparations to deliver presents across the globe on Christmas Eve, the reindeers were petted by residents and guests.

The celebrations also saw the switching on of Sunrise of Mobberley’s Christmas lights and musical entertainment was provided by the residents choir who serenaded the audience with Christmas carols.

The choir was accompanied by volunteer Fiona Macintosh who played the piano throughout the afternoon.

Sue Cameron, Activities and Co-ordinator at Sunrise Mobberley, said: “This was a fantastic festive afternoon and it was great to have the reindeers join us – the residents loved them. A big thank you to our choir and to Fiona on the piano, their musical performances gave the afternoon a lovely Christmas feel.

“It was wonderful to see so many new faces join us for the day, and everyone is always welcome to come along to our events."
