GEORGE Osborne MP lent his support to his volunteering constituents by joining them at the Christmas Card pop-up shop at the Curzon last month.

Combined Christmas Charity Shops raise money for a variety of charitable organisations through the sale of cards, calendars and other Christmas gifts and 100pc of proceeds go to the chosen charities.

The pop-up shop, which was manned by volunteers throughout the day, opened for business early November and closed up shop on Wednesday December 4.

Mr Osborne said: “Local volunteers in Knutsford do a fantastic job, raising money for national and local charities. The card shop at the Curzon cinema is now a feature of my Christmas every year and I like to visit and show my support.”

It's a pity Osborne wasn't more charitable in his concern the way him and his party are treating the poorer members of this country with the bedroom tax,and closing workshops for the disabled down.
