KNUTSFORD Lions are striving to make sure no-one spends this Christmas alone.

The club have been organising Christmas Day Lunches for the past 25 years for people who would otherwise be alone and this year is no exception.

This year’s lunch will take place at the Stanley Centre, on Bexton Road, and is open to any age, young and old.

Peter Willgoose, of the Knutsford Lions, said: “The people who come all seem to enjoy themselves and their pleasure gives great satisfaction to Lions members.”

The Christmas Day Lunch has proven a success over the years and each year the Lions welcome around 30-35 guests for the afternoon.

Peter added: “Give it a go - you'll meet a lot of friendly people. Nearly everyone who attends wants to come again.”

Guests will be collected between 11.30 am and noon and returned around 2.30pm.

Anyone who would otherwise be alone, including married couples, should contact Jane Webster on 01565 633346 as soon as possible as space is limited.
