PARKGATE-based IFE Services has announced it is supplying Singapore Airlines with Korean movies.
In addition to providing Singapore Airlines with new releases each month, IFE Services will supply a mix of internationally-acclaimed classic, family and art house movies.
The movies will be available to customers in all classes through KrisWorld, Singapore Airlines’ award-winning Audio Video On-Demand (AVOD) in-flight entertainment system.
The Korean film industry came of age in the late 1990s.
The 1999 movie Shiri, the country’s first blockbuster, was tremendously successful in South Korea, proving more popular there than Titanic and generating more funding and interest in domestically-produced films.
