MP is raising awareness of prostrate cancer
5:00pm Saturday 2nd November 2013 in News
HOLMES Chapel’s MP, Fiona Bruce, has vowed to raise awareness of prostate cancer in her constituency.
Over a table football ‘friendly’ at the Conservative Party Conference last week, Mrs Bruce agreed to champion Prostate Cancer UK’s fight to improve the quality of prostate cancer in her constituency and help raise the issue on the party’s agenda.
Mrs Bruce said: “There are 250,000 men living with prostate cancer across the country – many of them in my own constituency – and our goal should be to ensure all these men get the care and support they need regardless of where they live.
“This is an issue we need to attack head on if we are going to help more men survive and have a better quality of life.
“That is why I have pledged to help Prostate Cancer UK bring about real and lasting change for men in my constituency and beyond.
“By working together as a team, I am sure victory can be ours.”
