Fun day for visually-impaired at centre
3:00pm Saturday 26th October 2013 in News
YOUNGSTERS with visual impairment are invited to perfect their dance moves at Knutsford Leisure Centre on Saturday, November 2.
The experience is organised by Action for Blind People to give youngsters an opportunity to boost their confidence and practical skills in a social environment.
It is open to children aged four to 16, and the dance format involves using touch as a mirror in the learning process.
Janet Beale, from Action for Blind People, said: “This fun session is the third of six activities being run by Action for Blind People throughout this year funded by Cheshire East Council.
“We want to reach as many visually-impaired youngsters from Cheshire East as we can and aim to offer a variety of activities to appeal to all. The activities offer youngsters a chance to have fun, try something new and make new friends.”
The event is free, but all places must be booked by October 28. Contact Janet on 0151 702 5716 or email email@example.com.
