Sarah’s idea for promoting club is picture perfect
A KNUTSFORD photographer has teamed with one of the town’s football clubs to create a gallery showing the players in action at the team’s base on Mereheath Lane.
Egerton Football Club has linked up with Sarah King, who has created a gallery in the new cafe at its base.
The club, in partnership with Lee Atkin’s catering firm ‘Cake Ltd’ has upgraded the community cafe and bar, which will open from November 1 every weekend 9am to 4pm and then 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday from November 9.
As part of the new facilities at Egerton, Sarah has established a personal gallery in the new cafe, including some images of club users.
Sarah said: “I wanted to put up the football gallery to capture the players’ passion for the game and for the photographs to celebrate the enjoyment and unity the football club brings to the community of Knutsford.”
Tom O’Donnell, Egerton FC club chairman, said: “It is great to see the facilities we have at Egerton finally reaching their full potential.
“The cafe has been crying out for someone like Lee to come in and improve the choices for our members and visitors, whilst Sarah and her gallery have given a greater ambience to the cafe and provides great family memories with her portraits and energetic sporting shots.
“With the new cafe, alongside the club improvements being funded by the football club and Sport England, we are seeing this great sports facility starting to develop to support the next generation of sporting members in Knutsford.”
