Restaurant helps with payments for town's Christmas tree
A RESTAURANT has said it is ‘delighted’ to be sponsoring the Knutsford Christmas Tree this year.
Belle Epoque, on King Street, has donated £500 towards the festive tree, which is erected annually by the town council.
Matthew Mooney, managing director of Belle Epoque, said: “Knutsford is such a special town normally and at Christmas it’s positively magical – we are so glad to be involved.”
The sponsorship means that the cost of the Christmas festivities for the town council has been reduced.
Adam Keppel-Garner, town centre manager, said: “There are a few different sponsorship opportunities for local businesses at Christmas and the town council are always willing to take suggestions from local businesses and residents on what could make the town more magical in December.”
The Christmas Light Switch On will take place on Saturday, November 30 from 4pm and coincides with the weekend-long Christmas Market.
Adam added: “The Christmas Market is bigger and better than before with a fantastic array of stalls lining Princess Street selling an incredible range of gifts and treats for the festive period.”
