Cover star Matthew features in leading magazine
INDUSTRY-leading publication Caterer and Hotelkeeper Magazine had a rather familiar face from Knutsford occupying its cover recently.
Matthew Mooney, proprietor and managing director of The Belle Epoque Group, which takes in BE and the Rose n Crown Chop House, was selected for an interview following 40 years of family success in the town.
The highly-regarded London-based magazine made the trip to Cheshire to interview Matthew, as well as organising a photo shoot in the surroundings of the King Street restaurant.
Matthew told the Guardian that he felt privileged to be featured in the highly-respected publication.
“Caterer and Hotelkeeper is widely known as ‘the’ publication of the industry, and to be chosen to feature not only in its pages but on the cover is a true honour,” he said.
“We are extremely proud of our heritage, history and our future, and to be celebrated in our 40th year is truly humbling.”
James Stagg, from the Caterer, said: "Being in business for 40 years is a significant achievement.
"Food trends and fashions change but the Belle Epoque has managed to stay relevant and develop new revenue streams.
"As a former Catey award winner the restaurant is a good example of an independent business that knows how to appeal to both a local market and wider audience."
The Belle Epoque celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and on Thursday, November 21 a host of VIPs and celebrity guests will be invited to celebrate the official anniversary date.
