Traffic comes to halt after multi-vehicle collision at Mere crossroads
RUSH hour traffic came to a standstill this morning, Tuesday, after five vehicles were involved in a collision at Mere crossroads.
At 8.12am on October 8 emergency services attended the collision on Chester Road in Mere, Knutsford.
The collision affected the Manchester bound carriageway at the crossroads near the country club. But traffic also stacked up on the opposite carriageway with commuters heading to the M6 queuing to the Bowdon roundabout off the M56.
The driver of a mini Cooper, a man aged 30, and the driver of a Nissan Coupe, a 48-year-old man, were both taken to Wythenshawe Hospital.
There conditions are not yet known.
