Air ambulance treats Knutsford man after fence crushes his leg
AN air ambulance had to treat a man in a Knutsford field last night, Tuesday, after his leg was crushed by a fence.
At 7pm on Tuesday, October 1, the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) was called out to the incident in the town.
They were called out to a 27-year old male who was badly injured after being crushed by heavy fencing in a field in the area.
Due to patient confidentiality the service could not say where in Knutsford the incident occured.
The North West Ambulance Service were first on the scene but made a call for an Air Ambulance due to the clinical nature of the incident.
The patient was provided with a splint to help support his injured limbs and he was given advanced pain relief.
He was then airlifted to University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further assessment.
His current condition is not yet known.
