Market organisers promise ‘a great day’
11:30am Thursday 3rd October 2013 in News
KNUTSFORD’S Artisan Market will return to town this Sunday.
Last week, the Guardian reported that the market is to become a more permanent fixture after a deal was struck between Knutsford Town Council and the market’s organisers.
Organiser Victoria Jackson said: “Denise and I are absolutely thrilled that the Knutsford Town Council have agreed to the continuation of the market and what a great event we have planned for this Sunday.”
Buskers ‘Loose Change’ will be back to entertain the crowds and will be performing from midday to 4pm outside the hot food arena.
The talented buskers have raised more than £80,000 for Cancer Research this year, and are aiming to reach the £100,000 figure by the end of the year.
Knutsford chef David Mooney will again be taking his large shopping bag around the market stalls and local businesses selecting some of the fresh local produce available.
He will then take it back to his kitchens at The Old Sessions House and prepare for the cooking demonstrations taking place outside in the pop-up demo kitchen.
The market is due to start at 11am, and will finish at about 4pm.
