Fewer spaces available at Macclesfield Hospital
8:00am Monday 23rd September 2013 in News
MACCLESFIELD Hospital is set to carry out major work on its main car park.
The work is due to start on Friday, and will see the main car park at the hospital in Victoria Road being remodelled and resurfaced in six phases over four weeks.
This will result in about 30 parking spaces being closed off during each phase.
The layout of the car park will be altered to ensure space is being protected, as far as possible, for patient and visitor use.
As part of this barriers will be introduced and pedestrian routes across the site will be improved.
Disabled parking will also be improved and access will not be affected by the work.
A spokesman for the East Cheshire NHS Trust said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any delays which this work may cause.
“However it is essential that this maintenance is carried out.
“We would advise people who have to attend the hospital during this period to bear in mind the additional pressure on the car park and to allow a little extra time for their journey.”
