Vintage racing films to feature at transport festival
8:00pm Thursday 12th September 2013 in News
KNUTSFORD and District Motor Club and a village garden centre will be holding the fifth High Legh Festival of Transport this weekend.
High Legh Garden Centre will play host to classic cars, motorbikes and other vehicles of interest, including a special visit of 20 Harley Davidson bikes on Saturday and Sunday.
As usual admission to this popular family event is free, and all donations received will be in aid of the North West Air Ambulance.
On the Saturday evening the group will also be running a nostalgic ‘Motoring Memories In Film’ evening, which will include a hot pot and red cabbage supper in the garden centre coffee shop followed by some vintage motor racing films from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
The films will include Isle of Man TT race footage and the 1957 European Grand Prix held at Aintree.
Tickets for the film evening are priced at £7.95 and can be obtained from the garden centre customer services desk.
