5:40pm Wednesday 21st August 2013 in News
VOLUNTEERS are gearing up for a 10k twilight walk at Tatton Park on Saturday September 7 to raise money for charity.
Hundreds of participants will be pulling on their trainers for the ‘Walk Ten’ event to help raise money for Marie Curie Nurses.
The event, which starts at 6pm, will see participants enjoying exclusive after-hours access to the grounds.
And the event doesn’t end at the finish line. After the walk, participants will be treated to an evening of live music, picnics and a firework finale at 10pm.
Holly Smith, Community Fundraiser for Cheshire, said: “Walk Ten last year was such a fabulous event with a wonderful atmosphere and we’re looking for as many people as possible to take part this year to make it even better.
“It’s a lovely way to spend a Saturday evening with your family, and do something really special for a fantastic cause.”
Registration is £10 per person in advance and £20 on the night. Under 16s go free. To register for Walk Ten at Tatton Park visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/TattonPark or call 0845 052 4184.
