Motorcyclist injured after crashing at Mere crossroads

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after crashing at Mere crossroads on Sunday.
The incident happened shortly after 3.30pm after the motorcyclist, driving a black Suzuki, skidded after negotiating the crossroad of the A50 and A556.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 3.34pm on Sunday, March 17, police were called to the A556 Chester Road, Bucklow Hill, in Knutsford following a collision.
"A black Suzuki motorbike had been travelling along the A50 Warrington Road when the rider negotiated a left hand bend onto the A556 Chester Road.
"The bike became unstable and the rider fell from it resulting in minor injuries. He was treated at Wythenshawe Hospital."
The incident caused traffic tailbacks in the area.
