THE Knutsford Air Cadets are on the look-out for volunteers who have a couple of hours a week to spare and would like to get involved in the activities of young people.

Flight Lt Natasha Sirley told the Guardian the squadron was on the look-out for an administrator.

“We are looking for adult volunteers to play a part in enabling the young and enthusiastic cadets to participate in adventure training, sports, flying and many other activities,” she said.

“Even if you have no background in aviation or any military experience, there will always be something to get stuck into.

“We rely on our volunteers to help us operate as effectively as possible.

“Volunteers play a vital role in all aspects of cadet life, whether organising activities, encouraging and educating cadets or just helping the squadron run smoothly.”

The most urgent vacancy is for someone who can help with administration and general organisation of the squadron – ensuring cadets are enrolled on activities, producing a monthly newsletter, monitoring cadet records and helping with the paperwork involved in running the squadron.

The Knutsford Air Cadets meet on two evenings a week at Blackhill Lane, Knutsford, but any time given will be greatly appreciated.
