Knutsford Rotary Club raises funds for carers' tools

THE Rotary club of Knutsford has donated £500 to the Winsford-based Neuromuscular centre to help pay for new tools to go in the new carers’ work shed currently being erected to the side of the centre.

The shed project has sparked the imagination of Knutsford Rotary Club, which understands the importance of providing activities and opportunities to socialise for men who might otherwise feel isolated.

Emily Swinerd, from the Neuromuscular Centre, said: “The centre does many things to help look after our carers, but most of them are directed at women.

"Our new tool shed will hopefully address this by providing a space where men can get their hands dirty, make something useful and chat without any pressure.”
