EMPLOYEES at de Poel, a Knutsford-based business that specialises in providing companies with temporary labour, celebrated this week after raising £77,840 for its nominated charity, Mencap.
The total was achieved following a year of fundraising activities, which has seen staff and their families work tirelessly to raise money.
Fundraising initiatives over the past year includes: Manchester to Paris bike ride; the Great Manchester Swim; sponsored 10k runs; the Grim Challenge; a 007 Charity Gala dinner; auctions, raffles, quizzes and bake sales; Eurovision and Grand National sweepstakes; car boot sales; and sponsored skydives.
Matthew Sanders, chief executive, said: “Mencap is such a deserving charity, which is why the whole company has been working so hard to raise funds. de Poel employees have really gone above and beyond – working weekends and getting their family and friends to raise funds. I am so proud and thankful to each of them.”
