MEMBERS of North Knutsford Community Group welcomed Adrian Fisher, Cheshire East’s Strategic Planner and Housing Manager, for a morning tour on Wednesday last week.
Walking the areas of North Knutsford that may be developed in the near future gave Mr Fisher first hand knowledge of the area and its potential.
Members of the group have also had constructive meetings with Michael Jones, leader of Cheshire East Council, and Knutsford Town Council and Tatton Estates representatives.
Neil Lazenbury, a member of the community group, said: “We have been working steadily to ensure consideration of the needs of the people of Knutsford.
“We want to maintain open spaces and to secure investment in community facilities. Discussions so far have been very useful.”
The group is holding a meeting on Friday at 7pm in the Methodist Church Commmunity Hall on Princess Street. If you are from north Knutsford and interested in finding out more, you can come along.
The group has a petition that asks for the views of Knutsford people to be considered as the planning process develops.
More than 370 people have signed so far, and more than 100 people have joined the group by email. If you would like to sign the petition and support the work of the group, you can email north knutsfordcommunity@hotmail.co.uk.
