POLICE have told the Guardian that they 'believe' they have discovered a cannabis farm in Mere.

Officers from Knutsford Police Station found the stash of 40 plants after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle on Mereside Road at 3.15pm on Thursday, February 14.

On arrival officers discovered what are believed to be cannabis plants in the rear of the van.

On further inspection of the address approximately 40 possible cannabis plants were discovered.

Four men from Manchester aged 49, 56, 41 and 47 have all been arrested.

Three police vehicles were seen at the address this morning, Friday.

The haul was found in a similar location to the one found in September 2009. For more on that case click on the link below.
