PUPILS at Hermitage Primary School in Holmes Chapel were treated to a visit by a racing car driver this week.

Knutsford’s Oli Webb, who will drive in the World Series by Renault Formula 3.5 Championship this season, was at the school with the Holmes Chapel produced-BAC Mono single seater racing car.

He was asked to attend by Ian Mallon, who has recently opened up Neon Freight in the village.

Ian said: “It was amazing for the children to see such an innovative car built on their doorstep.

“I asked Oli to come down and he was great with them, spending time signing autographs.”
