Family tree detective Sue seeks rose fete pictures from 1940s
5:30pm Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
A GUARDIAN reader is appealing for pictures from 1940s Mobberley Rose Fetes as she builds a picture of her family tree.
Sue Ferguson, nee Burnett, from Altrincham, is looking into her history, and is hoping Guardian readers can help her out.
“My family and myself are from Knutsford and Mobberley, dating back to the 1880s,” she said.
“I am trying to find photographs regarding Mobberley Rose Fetes in the 1940s and 1950s.
“My great grandmother Alice Saxon was in the Mobberley WI, and I have trawled the internet to no avail looking for my grandfathers family, Wragge, in Rostherne and Knutsford.”
If you can help Sue out e-mail her at sue_ferguson @hotmail.co.uk.
