NATURE-lovers are invited to go on a snowdrop stroll in the name of charity.

Bucklow Farm in Plumley is opening its gardens to the public on Sunday, February 17, as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

The Pinfold Lane farm will be open between 1pm and 3.30pm, with an entry fee of £3 (children are admitted free) to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Help the Hospices and Crossroads Care.

Founded in 1927, the National Gardens Scheme has donated more than £22 million to nursing and other caring charities by opening almost 4,000 private gardens.
