Revisiting top 80s TV series at forum

THE success of ITV’s Brideshead Revisited and its impact on Tatton Park will be explored at Knutsford Heritage Centre’s next February Forum.

Alan Oakes, a room steward and guide at Tatton Park, will highlight areas of the mansion and other town venues which were used in the filming of the 1981 TV series, which inspired a tourist boom.

He will also unearth some little known facts connecting Evelyn Waugh with Tatton Park.

The talk takes place at midday on Saturday, February 9, at the Heritage Centre Tickets are £6 each (£5.40 to Friends of the Heritage Centre). Call 01565 650506.
