Schools seek businesses’ support
11:20am Thursday 31st January 2013 in News
KNUTSFORD School Ball Association (KSBA) – an amalgamation of Bexton, Egerton and St Vincent de Paul RC primary schools – is preparing for the 13th annual summer ball on June 28 by signing popular band Groovy Revolution to provide this year’s entertainment.
In the current economic climate, fundraising by parent associations is very important as local government budgets are squeezed and there is little scope for extra-curricular materials.
The summer ball is the main fundraiser for these schools each year.
Last year it enabled them to build all-year outdoor play and learning spaces, buy wireless laptops and iPads and contribute towards an outdoor classroom.
This is equipment that all pupils at the schools can benefit from and help in creating a varied learning experience.
Knutsford businesses are being encouraged to advertise in the KSBA brochure – which is given to parents of each school – and aims to promote the local community while raising much needed funds for the schools.
