Ghostly goings-on in Knutsford help raise money for Claire House Hospice
7:00pm Wednesday 23rd January 2013 in News
Sefton Paranormal Investigations went in search of ghosts in Knutsford's Old Town Hall
A KEY building in the centre of Knutsford has been investigated by ghost hunters – in the name of charity.
Sefton Paranormal Investigations are a group of paranormal enthusiasts who travel round the north of England investigating locations which have been reported to be or have the possibility to be haunted.
For the past three years the group has devoted all funds raised to charity, and more recently has chosen to donate to Claire House Hospice for terminally-ill children.
On January 4 Monckton Properties Ltd kindly lent the Old Town Hall in Knutsford to hold a charity event in aid of the hospice. The evening began with a haunting walk around the currently empty premises, which were designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1872, who also designed London’s Natural History Museum.
The SPI team conducted baseline tests in each room, and found significant and very unnatural drops in temperature, with some rooms dropping 10 degrees in seconds.
The evening continued in great style using highly sensitive, sophisticated equipment and voice recorders.
