IF you are a budding Titchmarsh, Monet, Attenborough or Bailey, Tatton Park’s adult and family learning programme has a course or workshop for you.

From lectures, talks and tours to practical sessions in getting the most from your camera or the skill of the longbow – there are now more than 80 adult and family learning activities taking place at Tatton in the coming year.

Following on from the success of past garden-related courses, the opportunity to develop new skills including growing vegetables, storage and preservation of your harvest and summer pruning, are now available.

The popularity of previous pig keeping and poultry rearing courses has prompted the highly knowledgeable farm staff to share their skills in grooming the farm’s heavy horses and keeping their flocks of sheep.

Mansion talks and tours this year give an intriguing insight in to the way Christmas was celebrated in Victorian houses, and invite attendees to explore the etiquette and luxury of country house dining.

Seven of this year’s courses have been inspired by Beatrix Potter, and are offered as part of Tatton’s highlight event this year, The Magic of Beatrix Potter, which runs from March 23 to September 1.
