Bond show is winner for Beeston Young Farmers' Club

AFTER a 29-year wait Beeston YFC were named as winners of this year’s Cheshire Young Farmers Club annual entertainments competition.

The club, which last won the competition in 1983, wowed a capacity audience in the competition final at Winsford Lifestyle Centre with their witty take on a James Bond film.

Their production, Licence to Bull, involved a Scottish Bond character and also featured dancing bulls.

Middlewich YFC took second place with their modern-day pantomime take on Romeo and Juliet.

The trophy for best individual performer went to Sam Walton from the third-placed club Knutsford YFC.

Sam played the part of Peggy in his club’s Fifty Sheds of Hay performance.

In fourth place was Macclesfield YFC with Close Relations.
