A HEAD-ON crash brought traffic to a standstill in Manchester Road on Friday but no one was seriously injured.

An Audi A7 was in collision with a Toyota Avensis near the Brookdale Clinic just before 11.30am.

Cheshire Police said that five to six people received minor injuries.

Knutsford resident Jonathan Farber was one of the first to arrive on scene after the crash.

He said: “It must have happened moments before I got there as the road wasn’t congested when I arrived and it was logjammed after that.

“It looks like someone has tried to overtake at the pinch point.

“People get too impatient in the 40mph zone and just go for it. It’s happened many times before at that point.”
