A KNUTSFORD primary school welcomed a special visitor to one of its assemblies.
Bishop Mark Davies from the Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury visited St Vincent de Paul Primary school on Thursday, December 13 for a special assembly.
The St Vincent infant children met the bishop, and were in the nativity dress after performing Mend the Manger the night before.
In December 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed Mr Davies as the coadjutor Bishop of Shrewsbury.
He was ordained Bishop in February 2010 at St Anthony’s, Wythenshawe, Manchester, and on October 1, 2010, Bishop Davies became the 11th Bishop of Shrewsbury in succession to Bishop Brian Noble.
